The development of leading university near London
Alongside Derwent Living, Linkcity UK was awarded a contract to finance, design and build a student accommodation development on the campus of the University of Hertfordshire, and to operate it for 50 years. It consists of 23 buildings providing 3,000 student bedrooms, associated social spaces and a campus gym, designed and built by Bouygues UK. This campus is one of the most advanced in the United Kingdom in terms of sustainability. The timber-frame buildings is equipped with their own energy-production infrastructure. This campus obtained BREEAM® Outstanding certification, i.e the top level of environmental accreditation.

The University of Hertfordshire campus is one of the most advanced in the United Kingdom in terms of sustainability:
- The timber-frame buildings is equipped with their own energy-production infrastructure based on a power and heat cogeneration system and is achieved a true zero carbon accreditation and meets BREEAM Outstanding requirements.
- Particular care is paid to minimising pollution (noise, dust, etc.) to avoid disturbing the students who are on the site.
